Is this a rideshare?
No. ParentCorridor is a coordinator — not a transport service, not a shuttle, not a ride-for-kids app. Commercial services move strangers for money. The drivers here are other parents in your verified circle, already making the trip — with no money between families.
How is this different from my WhatsApp group or parent Facebook group?
Keep using those after you match. Group chats are great for talking — they're not built for verifying parents, matching the right families on one corridor, or keeping requests from getting buried when move-in and break weeks get noisy. ParentCorridor handles those parts. Once a match is made, the conversation moves right back to the thread you're already in.
How is this different from my school's parent portal or family program?
School tools inform — announcements, calendars, orientation details. ParentCorridor helps verified families act. The school tells you when move-in is; we help you find the other parent already driving there.
How does verification work?
We confirm your identity, your driving record, and your child's college enrollment. You submit the documents once. We view them, verify them, and delete the files within 24 hours. Only the fact that you were verified is kept on record.
When does billing actually start?
The day we open service in your corridor — not at reservation. Until then, your seat is held and your pricing is locked in.
What if the corridor doesn't open?
No cost, ever. We'll let you know honestly, and your reservation closes out.
What if my corridor is too quiet to match me?
If you make at least two eligible requests with 72 or more hours' notice in your first paid 6 months, and neither completes a match, we'll refund your fee in full or extend your membership 6 months free — your choice.
How do gas and cost-sharing work?
That stays between the two families, off the app. Most parents handle it like a friend would — Venmo, cash, or not at all.
Why should I trust this enough to register my child's school?
Because the whole product is built around that question. No public feed. No demographic data shown. Only the families in your circle see your child's name, and only after both sides match.
